Objective
Researcher's Night will be celebrated on Sep. 26th in Copenhagen, Denmark as the conclusion of the Week-long Danish Science Week. The event is based on a similar event in 2007 and will once more take place at the Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen) The event involves: • app. 30 hands-on stands (from Sept 24th to Sept. 26th) • a special Friday Night Event with extra focus on science in art, music • the Finals of the national photo competition competition The objective is to make science accessible to a general audience, who will be in town on a Friday night. The researchers presenting the activities will be a mix of master and PhD students as well as older researchers. They represent the four big universities in the Copenhagen region. All stands will be interactive and hands-on, thus stimulating a dialogue between the presenters and the audience. In addition to the stands, a “European corner” will be set up to focus on European research. By using popular music performers and offering interesting activities involving food and drink, a large audience is expected to participate.
