dynamical complex systems

Objective

"The program exchange concerns researchers in fundamental mathematics. The topic is the study of dynamical systems. Dynamical systems represent the mathematical way to study chaos. One of the sources of inspiration was the strange attractors discovered by meteorologists (the famous ""butterfly effect""). This exchange program concerns a large part of the European experts in that topic. As Brazil stands for the strongest country in dynamical systems, the aim of this programme is to allow a deep transfer of knowledge from Brazil to Europe and a long term cooperation between the best European researchers and their highly renown Brazilian pairs. This exchange programme will give each researcher the opportunity to work in groups on their specific topics but also to benefit from knowledge developed in interconnected topics. To this purpose the project has been divided in the following three broad categories : Quasi-periodic dynamics, Hyperbolic dynamics and Bifurcation theory"

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
