General Accompanying Measures
In line with the FP7 call for proposals the objective of the project is to create, operate and maintain a permanent Platform to facilitate the access to financing for innovative SMEs participating in ICT projects under European Framework Programmes and enable efficient interactions between SMEs and innovation investors.
SMEs participating in ICT projects of the Framework Programme need financing for completing their activities under the project and also for bringing further the project results after the project period, transforming research results into real market values. Innovation investors - business angels, venture capital firms are those financial players who can provide risk capital for high-tech ICT SMEs. It is necessary to fill in the information gap between these two target groups, and enable efficient interactions between them trough innovative intermediary services.
ICT VentureGate is offering solution by creating an Information Gateway for investors with a Virtual Agency for Innovation Investments and e-training to enhance the capacity building of SMEs on investment financing. A Brokerage Event will enhance the impact of the online services further by offering traditional face-to-face business meetings.
