European Science Journalism Forum 2010 under the Spanish Presidency

Objective

Conference under the Spanish Presidency in spring 2010 highlighting the communication of European science and research and the key science in society issues at stake. This conference will focus on the role the media, and specifically the opportunities and challenges offered by the emerging digital technologies as regards science communication and public engagement. The conference will address both conceptual and practical issues of relevance to specific professional functions and will take into consideration a diversity of disciplines. It will involve science journalists, science communicators and researchers and other relevant stakeholders in a debate on critical science journalism and communication issues, with action oriented examples of good practice in Europe and beyond.
