Objective
The main aim of the project is to mobilize more than 200 researchers and bring them closer to the PUBLIC AT LARGE in order to enhance researchers’ public recognition; the main aim of the project is to make an opportunity for people, in particular younger people, to meet researchers within the context of festive activities and to highlight the importance of a research career. We aim to reinforce the links between research institutions and citizens, bring research closer to the public and public closer to research in order to find better communication and also collaboration; to present various sciences and researchers from various scientific fields; to motivate younger people, graduating a high school, to choose researchers’ life or be more involved into science. Also, we intend to reinforce the link between researchers themselves among various disciplines.
To reach this aim, partners from various science institutions by implementing more than 50 diverse activities ( 1) Opened laboratories; 2) Lectures, discussions; 3) Real life observations and experiments; 4) Teleconferences; 5) Humoristic play about researchers’ life and work; 6) Various contest, movie watching, broadcast online watching, exhibitions.) in main cities of Lithuania and 10 rural areas. All events would be broadcasting online during Researchers’ night.
The goal of the project is to reach around 300 000 (10% of the whole population) Lithuanian citizens by awareness company and attract 7 000 people which participate in real life activities and visit various sites of activities, and 10000 people who will watch broadcasts from the main sites.
