Smart multipurpose knowledge administration environment for intelligent decision support systems development

Objective

Background and Aims Since 2002 four scientific teams in Europe and Australia have been collaborating on Intelligent Decision Support Systems (IDSS) research and development. Our aim is to take the specific experience based knowledge representation developed in Australia and to integrate it with knowledge acquisition models and approaches researched by European teams which would result in a novel, more advanced and comprehensive approach to smart knowledge administration. The need for such research and development in knowledge based society is apparent. Our Vision and Proposal To maintain our collaboration efforts to reach the overall aim of our research we envisage the need for verification and integration of individual cases developed by the four separate teams: • Decisional DNA and Technological Trust Application for Multi-domain Knowledge Structure (Newcastle/Australia) • Semantic Enhancement of Virtual Engineering Applications (VICOMTech/Spain) • Smart Modeling Approach of IT Project Management for Small and Medium Companies (GUT, Poland) • Mortgage Market Knowledge-Based Modelling in the Changing, Economical Conditions (GUT, Poland) For integration purposes we propose an extensive and well planned exchange of researchers engaged in research and development of the above individual cases. Expected Results The proposed exchange would significantly support the collaboration that is required at this stage and which can be achieved only by immersing researchers in research environments developed by other teams. Our current collaboration that is based on e-mails and teleconferences is no longer sufficient. The proposed higher level collaboration would integrate the individual efforts into overall multi purpose smart knowledge administration platform as required in the age of global economy.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
