Objective
ARAID (Agencia Aragonesa para la Investigación y Desarrollo) Foundation is an Agency created by the Government of Aragon with the aim of promoting research, development and innovation in the region Aragon. It is a non-profit organization, with the legal status of a Foundation. ARAID Foundation operates as beneficiary and will manage ARAIDEU (ARAID-European Union Fellowships) attraction of researchers Program throughout its whole duration. The ARAIDEU Program will last 48 months and disseminate 3 calls for applications between month 1 and month 18 targeting the selection of 24 experienced research fellows and their attraction to any Research Host Institutions in the Aragon region. Information concerning the selection timetables and procedures will be available at the Project website (www.araid.es) and specific information will be updated at each launch of call for applications. The selection procedure of ARAIDEU Fellowship Programme will consist of three phases: Publication of the call and reception applications, Evaluation of applications, Negotiation and Interview: Contract agreement and project start date. The program will ensure an appropriate management with revision of the program plan and is expected to continue in time after the EU-COFUND financing stops. Most of the fellowships if not all will be converted into long term (equivalent to tenure positions) contracts funded by the Government of Aragon to continue research projects with the Foundation support and as part of the staff of the Host Institution. This will depend on a post fellowship assessment on the evolution of the research projects and the available regional funding after the COFUND period.
