Objective
The proposed new EraSME ERA-NET, dubbed EraSME² will build on the successful work of the original EraSME project. The experimental phase of EraSME is now closed. The coming two years will be the consolidation phase, devoted to ensuring the long-term sustainability of EraSME by setting up an integrated transnational programme to support SMEs. During this phase the project will implement a formal management and organisation structure for EraSME; further develop and improve joint procedures for: the programming of calls and related activities including common evaluation criteria (“scientific integration”); the management of call handling and evaluation procedures (“managerial integration”); the funding of selected projects (“financial integration”); widen selectively the partnership to additional programmes, regions and countries; launch further joint calls for proposals every six months, raising the number of participating countries, regions and programmes, of proposals submitted, and of proposals funded.
