European multilingual digital data collection for multimedia content in music heritage

Objective

Public educational institutions produce highly valuable content with a business potential that is mainly unexploited by these institutions. As a result, the intellectual content produced is normally accessed by only the minority of citizens and business and thus not fully exploited.

HARMOS aims to develop new products and services for exploiting multimedia content in the domain of music heritage and popular music. This will be based on applying state-of-the-art technologies in the area of: audio processing and recognition for automatic audio/visual segmentation; tagging/segmenting/storing/retrieving and securing digital multimedia data.

At the end of the project, HARMOS will have established a European multilingual data collection for multimedia music content mainly in the context of eLearning, which is ready for further exploitation.

The partners comprise highly recognised European conservatoires/music schools and experienced technology providers.
