Objective
The project aims to contribute to the development of research driven clusters in Europe with specific focus on convergence regions in central Europe. The objectives of the project are: a) Development of a methodology for establishment of research driven clusters in new member states in the Central European region and in other convergence regions; b) Dissemination of the developed methodology through out the European convergence regions and c) Establishment of a research driven cluster in Slovakia focused to specific sector. The project will consists from analytical part carried out in the specific region, targeted activities will be carried out in order to launch research driven cluster in the region. Based on local experience, the methodology for research driven cluster establishment in convergence regions will be prepared for dissemination in other convergence regions in Europe. In the framework of the project the workshops will be carried out in 4 Central European countries in order to collect feedback on proposed methodology and Central European dissemination event will be organized to present final methodology of the project. The project also aims to contribute to co-ordination activities in the area of research driven clusters emergence which will be reflected in dissemination plan for proposed methodology and in this respect will benefit from expertise of experienced Austrian partner in the project.
