Objective
Music is one of the best ways for young children to discover foreign cultures and languages. In this context Europe has a rich and creative production of children's music, ranging from traditional repertories to contemporary artists. However, its development is limited by linguistic and regional boundaries and the absence of real European media to give access to these fragmented cultural repertories. Given this situation, the goal of the RECREMANIA project is:
To create respective pan-European media (European musical multilingual portal for children);
To use innovative edutainment tools in combination with educational structures for the creation of an exchange space for children aimed at the discovery of their musical cultural heritage.
The project will build on the partners' complementary know-how: music publishing and online rights management, educational multimedia technologies, music production and knowledge of European children repertories, European repertories of voice-based classical music, pedagogical expertise, mobile technologies, and children and language learning (Ethnoclic-Belgium).
RECREMANIA aims at fostering communication between European children through the sharing of their musical heritage, as well as the discovery of other European languages.
