Objective
PICK developed and realised an action contributing to the implementation of the eContent programme as a whole. In order to provide added value for the eContent target audience and user groups - ranging from public administrations and internet start-ups to public authorities and professional associations on a regional, national and international level - PICK promoted, showcased and stimulated a rapid take-up of eContent ideas and results and also supported community-building actions, e.g. via advance knowledge sharing facilities. For his purpose PICK focused on dedicated and interdependent components designed to contribute to the overall eContent results dissemination objectives of this accompanying measure including: referencing, showcasing and sharing results, results exploitation, public events presentation, results awards, and supportive technological platforms. At the UN Information Society World Summit - which took place in Geneva in December 2003 - PICK was awarded with the World Summit Award as the best European product in the category eInclusion.
