Project description
Innovation management for Dutch SMEs
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Netherlands will benefit from the services provided by two supporting programmes aiming to strengthen innovation management capacity and help their development and commercial internationalisation. The EU-funded INMANCAP 2020_21 project will deliver key account management (KAM) services as well as services aiming at enhancing innovation. The main objective of KAM is to identify gaps in the innovation capacities preventing the SMEs’ growth. Moreover, it will acknowledge their need for training and will identify appropriate coaching. The second programme centers on enhancing innovation management capacity (EIMC) of SMEs by diagnosing those able to grow internationally and identifying weaknesses in the regional SMEs' innovation management capacity with the aim of delivering a tailored action plan that will help companies be successful and efficient.
Objective
The overall objectives of the project are to deliver services designed to enhance the innovation management capacity of SMEs in the Netherlands between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2021. These services will comprise both Key Account Management (KAM) services for SME beneficiaries of the EIC Pilot under H2020 and services to Enhance the Innovation Management Capacities of SMEs. The sub objective for the first category is: to identify weaknesses in the innovation capacities of the SME beneficiaries hindering their growth opportunities and hence their full commercial potential. The Network's Key Account Managers shall identify the coaching needs of the SMEs and shall identify suitable coaches who will be tasked with the addressing of the identified weaknesses. The sub objectives for the second category are: to identify promising SMEs capable of growth and successful internationalisation, to carry out a diagnostic audit to identify gaps in the regional SME innovation management capacity and to develop and implement a tailored action plan to make the innovation system in the company more efficient and effective.
