[RESULT IN BRIEF] Neue Empfehlungen zur Unterstützung der globalen Ernährungs- und Nahrungsmittelsicherheit
Bis zum Jahr 2023 zählt die Weltbevölkerung laut einer kürzlich durchgeführten UN-Erhebung 8 Milliarden Menschen. Sicherzustellen, dass alle diese Menschen gut ernährt und versorgt sind, wird eine große Herausforderung des 21. Jahrhunderts sein. Im Rahmen eines EU-finanzierten Projekts wurde intensiv daran gearbeitet, die politischen Lösungen für diese Herausforderungen bereitzustellen. Hierbei stand der Bedarf eines robusten und stabilen Welternährungssystems im Fokus, das die Bedürfnisse aller deckt.

By 2023, the world’s population is due to hit 8 billion according to a recent UN survey. Finding a way to ensure that all those people and well-fed and well-nourished will be a major challenge of the 21st Century. One EU-funded project has been working hard to provide the policy solutions to this challenge, emphasising the need for a robust and stable world food system that can cater for everyone’s needs.

En el año 2023, se calcula que la población mundial alcanzará la cifra de ocho mil millones de personas, según un reciente estudio de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas. Encontrar la forma de garantizar que todas esas personas tengan acceso a una alimentación y nutrición adecuadas va a ser uno de los principales desafíos del siglo XXI. Un proyecto financiado por la Unión Europea ha puesto todo el empeño en aportar soluciones políticas a este desafío, haciendo hincapié en la necesidad de encontrar un sistema alimentario mundial sólido y estable, capaz de dar respuesta a las necesidades de todos.
