Pompy strumieniowe przekształcają powietrze znajdujące się pod wysokim ciśnieniem w szybki strumień. Ponieważ manipulowanie przepływem powietrza w samolocie powoduje hałas, naukowcy uczestniczący w pewnej unijnej inicjatywie opracowali konstrukcje, które zmniejszają emisje akustyczne związane z poddźwiękowymi pompami strumieniowymi stosowanymi w systemach klimatyzacji.

Un air conditionné plus silencieux dans les avions
Les pompes à injection transforment l'air à haute pression en jet à grande vitesse. Pour éviter le bruit généré dans les avions par la manipulation des flux d'air, un projet de l'UE développe des systèmes afin de réduire les bruits associés aux pompes à injection subsoniques pour l'air conditionné.

Quieter air conditioning on aircraft
Jet pumps convert high-pressure air into a high-speed jet. Because manipulating air flow in aircraft creates noise, an EU initiative developed designs that reduce the acoustic emissions associated with subsonic jet pumps for air conditioning.
