Insight into the pathophysiology of TRAPS
European researchers shed light on a rare genetic disorder of the immune system called TNF receptor associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS). The new scores and outcome measures for diagnosis and treatment should help improve the quality of life of patients.

Nowe miary i wskaźniki skuteczności diagnozy i leczenia pomogą zwiększyć jakość życia pacjentów.

Final Report Summary - EUROTRAPS (Natural course, pathophysiology, models for early diagnosis, prevention and innovative treatment of TNF Receptor Associated Periodic Syndrome TRAPS with application for all hereditary recurrent fevers)
TNF receptor associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS) is a rare dominantly inherited disorder (OMIM 142680), caused by mutations in the p55 TNF Receptor (or TNFR1), encoded by the TNF Super Family Receptor 1A gene (TNFRSF1A). It is a disabling condition characterised by recurrent...

Periodic Report Summary - EUROTRAPS (Natural course, pathophysiology, models for early diagnosis, prevention and innovative treatment of ... TRAPS with application for hereditary recurrent fevers)
Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS), is an autosomal dominant multisystem autoinflammatory condition. These disorders are caused by primary dysfunction of the innate immune system, thereby generating spontaneous inflammation without any ap...
