Le proprietà dei materiali cambiano dalla superficie al nucleo a causa di reazioni che si verificano nella fase di formazione del materiale.

Un equipo de científicos financiado por la UE ha desarrollado compuestos con función gradiente de Mo/siliciuro de Mo a base de un esqueleto metálico refractario embebido en una matriz de siliciuro refractario, dirigidos especialmente a entornos corrosivos a alta temperatura (AT). Las propiedades de los materiales varían entre la superficie y el núcleo debido a reacciones que se producen según éstos se forman.

Des chercheurs financés par l'Union européenne ont développé des composites de siliciure de molybdène à gradient de fonctionnalité en se basant sur une ossature de métal enchâssé dans une matrice réfractaire de siliciure pour les environnements corrosifs de très haute température (HT). Les réactions survenant lors de la fabrication d'un matériau font que ses propriétés évoluent depuis sa surface jusqu'à son noyau.
