The ever increasing demands on energy saving has motivated the energy-intensive manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries to include energy saving technologies in their processes. The optimal selection and adoption of a new technology heavily relies on each industry's specific needs. For this reason, a new expert system has been developed for enabling the efficient insertion of energy saving technologies in industrial processes.
