Final Report - QUAKEOPTIWRAP (Optimal seismic rehabilitation of reinforced concrete buildings using FRP composites)

Project ID: 236282
Funded under: FP7-PEOPLE

Much of the existing global building stock has little or no seismic provision and often suffers from poor material and construction practices. The EU-funded QUAKEOPTIWRAP project aimed to propose a method for optimal seismic rehabilitation of reinforced concrete (RC) deficient buildings using externally bonded Fibre composite materials (FRPs).

This final activity report provides an overview of the project background and objectives and illustrates the various types of utilised composites. In addition, the methodology that was developed and implemented is analysed. The variation of rehabilitation cost from a conventionally designed model to the optimum model is pinpointed using an explanatory figure. Finally, the document contains references of publications that can assist in providing further information on this report contents.
