Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The European Commission, DG XIII, has published an invitation to tender concerning studies relating to the scientific follow-up of the Community Innovation Survey (CIS). These will be undertaken within the INNOVATION programme. The studies will be divided into 16 lots, concentrating on three main subjects:

- Making best use of the CIS data obtained with the objective of analysing it in order to draw lessons for innovation policy;
- Integrating lessons from Community and national innovation surveys, in particular CIS I and II, for the methodology of future innovation surveys as well as new approaches to innovation surveys carried out in Member States;
- Linking CIS data with relevant supplementary information from other sources to investigate the feasibility of linking CIS data to relevant enterprise data obtained from other national surveys. These studies should also investigate ways to improve access to empirical innovation data resulting from research and other non-official enquiries.
