Project ID: 13882
Funded under: FP6-NMP

Abstract

This is the final report of the project 'Nanotechnologies for Bio-inspired polysaccharides: biological ""decoys"" designed as knowledge-based, multifunctional biomaterials' (NanoBioSaccharides). The project dealt with the development and exploitation of nanotechnologies for the generation of knowledge-based, multi-functional, bio-inspired polysaccharides to be used as intelligent, sustainable, environment-friendly, consumer- and patient-safe bio-materials.

The report begins by outlining the project objectives, followed by the contractors involved. In the third part it discusses the work performed and results achieved in a condensed yet informative chapter, followed by a study on the impact of the project.
