Abstract

This is the final report of the project 'Promotion of sustainable cherimoya production systems in Latin America through the characterisation, conservation and use of local germplasm diversity' (Cherla). The project promoted sustainable cultivation of cherimoya in Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru, based on the characterisation, conservation and use of local genetic resources combining European expertise with local ongoing activities.

The report begins with a list of partners and coordinator, followed by an executive summary and project objectives, plus a summary of main results, including assessment and use of local diversity. A more detailed section on activities performed and results obtained, in line with the project's work packages, is then presented. This includes charts, figures, maps, photographs and illustrations. A detailed section or results is also presented at the end.
