Abstract

This is the final report of the project 'Precision chemical nanoengineering: integrating top-down and bottom-up methodologies for the fabrication of 3-D adaptive nanostructured architectures' (Nano3D). The project aimed to integrate top-down lithographic techniques which enable precise spatial patterning of surfaces from micron- to the nanoscale to fabricate three dimensional adaptive nanostructured architectures.

The report begins with the project objectives and explicative illustration, including partners involved, work performed and end results. Topics discussed include oligonucleotides, polymer nanowire photodetectors, single nanowire lasers, adaptive architectures, microfluidics and ink jet printing.
