Abstract

This is the final report of the AMNA project which was funded under the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Commission. It illustrates that the future of nano-technology can be based on molecular nodes. These nodes provide the bridge between molecular nanotechnology and lithography. The report also details how fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) can be successfully used through deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) networks to build molecular nodes at nanometre scale.
