Project ID: 32103
Funded under: FP6-INCO

Abstract

The BOMOSA project, funded under the European Community's Sixth Framework Programme, aimed to examine the economic viability and social acceptance of an existing aquaculture technology in East African countries, in order to increase its applicability. The technology combined aquaculture and agriculture in a simple and efficient way; thus, it could ensure additional income and a dietary supplement to the farmers.

This final activity report provides an overview of the BOMOSA objectives and major achievements. The structure of the project in interrelated work packages (WPs) is also presented. The objectives of each WP and the attained progress are analysed along with possible deviations from the timetable and corrective actions. Finally, the document refers to project management issues and underlines the various usage and dissemination activities.
