Final Report - INNOTRACK (Innovative Track Systems)

Project ID: 31415
Funded under: FP6-SUSTDEV

Abstract

This is the final report of the INNOTRACK project, which concentrated on research issues that contribute to the reduction of rail infrastructure life cycle cost (LCC). The main objective of INNOTRACK has been to reduce the LCC, while improving the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) characteristics. INNOTRACK has been a unique opportunity bringing together rail infrastructure managers (IM) and industry suppliers, the two major players in the rail industry.

The report makes an introduction to the project's objectives and structure, along with the partners involved. It later goes into more detail about the objectives and then explicitly describes the subprojects' goals and the pros and cons of the methodology applied. The report concludes with a long table of implementable results of the project.
