Final Report - CARCIM (Integration of two-component ceramic injection moulding for large-scale production of novel multifunctional ceramic components for automotive and railway applications)

Project ID: 31462
Funded under: FP6-SUSTDEV

Abstract

This is the final report of the CARCIM project, the main goal of which was the integration of the two-component ceramic injection moulding (2C-CIM) as a low-cost and large-series production technique for development of complex shaped ceramic components for automotive and railway applications offering a high degree of structural and functional integrity.

The report begins with explaining the project's objectives and the tasks that had to be fulfilled. It later describes the work performed, analysing the materials used and the experiments devised in order to conduct proper testing. The document goes on the sum up the project results and finally there is a section for general conclusions.
