Abstract

The LOGO WATER project, funded under the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), aimed to facilitate local governments of African countries to adopt integrated water resources management (IWRM) solutions. As such, the project contributed to the countries' efforts to achieve the water-related millennium development goals (MDG).

This final activity report summarises the project specific objectives. Moreover, the undertaken activities are presented and the significance of the local authorities' participation for the project success is highlighted. The document also provides an overview of the principal LOGO WATER outcomes and lists all relevant documentation. Finally, the anticipated project impact on IWRM research and strategy development, both in Europe and developing countries, is described.
