The EU-funded SEACASE project aimed to develop effective tools to maintain the competitiveness, productivity, profitability and thus sustainability of extensive and semi-intensive aquaculture systems in Southern Europe. These systems are currently under increased competition and the necessity to adapt to the pressing conditions is indisputable.

This final activity report firstly provides a brief overview of the project objectives and principal activities. The project background is also presented. The document then refers to the performed work, summarises the produced results regarding different aspects of aquaculture and highlights the conclusions that were derived by case studies' examination. Finally, an extensive analysis of the anticipated SEACASE impact is provided.
