Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This guide to a set of non-domain specific preparatory, support and transfer actions forms one part of the Information Technologies programme Information Package. The guide needs to be used together with the ESPRIT Work Programme, published separately, which outlines the technical coverage and priority research and development themes for the programme. It provides guidance for organizations considering making a proposal for demonstration actions.
Demonstration actions aim at the demonstration of the applicability and usability of available technology. It may include the introduction in certain industrial sectors of mature technology available on the market, and to demonstrate best practice in its use. It may also include cooperation of potential vendors and users in demonstrating applicability of proto-type technology in representative user environments to the benefit of the user and the group they represent, and the vendor to prepare or extend its potential market. This guide is applicable for:

- Single demonstration actions;
- Coordinated clusters of demonstration activities;
- OMI small demonstrator projects for SMEs (task 5.16).
