Final Report - RAPRA (Risk analysis for Phytophthora ramorum, a newly recognised pathogen threat to Europe and the cause of Sudden Oak Death in the USA)
Project ID: 502672Funded under: FP6-POLICIES
The pathogen Phytophthora ramorum causes sudden oak death, which has resulted in extensive oak mortality in parts of the United States. It also affects a range of other woodland trees and herbaceous plants. Phytophthora ramorum has been found on ornamentals in Europe. However, populations of Phytophthora ramorum from Europe and the United States differ genetically, with different mating types predominating. The RAPRA project aimed to determine the risks posed by Phytophthora ramorum. Their final report gives a detailed account of all actions undertaken and extensive achievements made by the project over the years.
