RESTPOR is a programme of international workshops designed to assess the impact of past and current science, technology and innovation policy on regional development, and to explore the latest academic thinking in this area.

The third RESTPOR Conference - entitled Global Comparison of Regional RTD and Innovation Strategies for Development and Cohesion - was organised by the European Commission in Brussels, 19-21 September 1996. This document contains the following articles from the proceedings:
