Final Report - BMR (Ballistic magnetoresistance in thin film nanocontacts)

Project ID: 505282
Funded under: FP6-NMP

This is the final report for the BMR project whose aim was twofold, namely the fabrication of thin film nanoconstrictions by developing and implementing techniques such as optical, electron beam, nanoimprinting as well as Focused ion beam (FIB) lithography and the research into the ballistic magnetoresistive and spin-transport properties in thin film nanocontacts.

The report covers the project objectives and major achievements, the present state-of-the-art BMR worldwide research as well as the conclusions in which the efficiency of the adopted techniques as well as some challenging issues are discussed.
