Project ID: 505593
Funded under: FP6-NMP

This is the final report for the I-IMAS project whose aim was to design and develop intelligent imaging sensors for an adaptive X-ray imaging system which would allow real-time image analysis, thereby enabling real-time exposure adjustment.

The report commences with the project's execution which comprises an introduction in which the main aim of the project is stated, the reason the I-IMAS system differs from the conventional imaging systems and the reason that the areas of mammography and dental imaging were chosen. It also states thoroughly the eight objectives of the project. The report then proceeds with the contractors which have been involved, the performed work as well as the methodologies and approaches that have been adopted which are all subsumed in three phases, the end results as well as the impact of results.
