Final Report - ENDOMED (Characterizing the effects of the Mediterranean diet on endothelial dysfunction)

Project ID: 237714
Funded under: FP7-PEOPLE

The ENDOMED project was funded under the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and aimed to characterise the effects of the Mediterranean diet on endothelial dysfunction in order to provide information for future nutritional advice and for reducing the development of inflammation related diseases.

This document is an attachment to the ENDOMED final report and presents the expression levels of targeted genes that were observed during in vivo studies on lean and obese subjects. The diagrams compare the obtained results for the cases of Saturated fatty acid (SFA), Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and Mono-unsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) consumption, in order to highlight the project findings.
