Final Report - LEUKAEMOGENESIS (Developmental impact of MLL-AF4 fusion gene linked to infant acute lymphoblastic leukaemia on human stem cell fate)

Project ID: 236430
Funded under: FP7-PEOPLE

Leukaemia is a condition that develops when the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of a leukocyte precursor gains genetic or epigenetic abnormalities so that the cell becomes malignant, acquiring uncontrolled growth properties.

The LEUKAEMOGENESIS project, which was funded by the European Commission, aimed to explore the developmental impact of the Mixed lineage leukaemia (MLL)-AF4 gene on human haematopoietic stem cell fate through consideration of distinct ontogeny and hierarchical stages of development.

This final activity report provides an overview of the project background and summarises its objectives. Moreover, the different approaches that were implemented are analysed, along with the obtained results. The document then highlights the anticipated project impact and closes with a list of relevant references.
