Final Report - OSTEOGENE (Molecular mechanisms of bone homeostasis)
Project ID: 502941Funded under: FP6-LIFESCIHEALTH
This is the final report of the OSTEOGENE project whose objective was to study and characterise the molecular mechanisms causing or leading to osteoporosis and to create substantial evidence based knowledge for early diagnosis, prevention and improved treatment of the disease. The report reveals that for the first time a 'molecular disease map' was created for important forms of osteoporosis in humans. These results take the project beyond the state of the art not only in terms of advancement of the knowledge base, but also because of its impact on front line research and industry.
