Final Report - LIQUIDSOLE (Development of a cost-effective adjustable damping sole based on magneto-rheological fluids to provide diabetics with a customisable product-service (...))

Project ID: 512670
Funded under: FP6-SME

Abstract

This is the final report for the LIQUIDSOLE project, which received funding from the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). The main aim of the project was to develop a novel ergonomic, comfortable, shock-absorbing and highly recyclable sole based on magneto-rheological (MR) fields, able to adjust its auto-shape in real time.

The report begins with stating the general objectives, as well as the several barriers that the project needed to overcome in order to develop the novel soles. It goes on with stating the consortium and with providing an overview of the achievements during the first and second year of the project. The three product designs are mentioned in detail, as well. The report then covers the scopes, tasks and work performed of the six work packages (WPs) that the project consists of and concludes with the consortium activities.
