Final Report - MINAEAST-NET (Micro and Nanotechnologies going to Eastern Europe through Networking)

Project ID: 510470
Funded under: FP6-NMP

Abstract

This is the final activity report of the MINAEAST-NET project. Funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), MINAEAST-NET's aim was to prepare the participation of organisations from associated candidate countries (ACCs) for projects in FP6 in the area of micro and nano technologies (MNT). The main objective was networking on micro and nano technologies, according to FP6 priority 2 (IST (related to micro and nanosystems)) and FP6 priority 3 (NMP (nanotechnologies)).

The specific document provides an overview of the project, a summary of the general project objectives and a thorough analysis of the work performed by all the project's partners. It also describes the methodology and approaches used by the project.

The MINAEAST-NET project developed a network of networks, called also MINAEAST-NET, composed of networks of micro and nano technologies from ACCs. Core members of this MINAEAST-NET network of networks originating during the duration of the project were the project partners (from both ACCs and Member States), as well as the coordinators or contact points of the above existing or emerging networks in micro and/or nano technologies.
