Final Report - 02-SENSITIVE TARGETS (Oxygen-sensitive enzymes of the mevalonate-independent isoprenoid biosynthesis pathway as targets for new antimalarial and anti-TB drugs)

Project ID: 516017
Funded under: FP6-LIFESCIHEALTH

Abstract

This is the final report for the 02-SENSITIVE TARGETS which aimed at the development of inhibitors of additional targets within the 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate (DOXP) pathway. As a long-term goal, the development of a synergistic drug combination inhibiting two enzymes of the DOXP pathway simultaneously was envisaged. After outlining the goals and the importance of the project the report covers the final outcome of the project and future work.
