The 'ZF-CANCER' project was funded by the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme and aimed to develop clinically relevant high-throughput bioassays for cancer progression that would be applicable in preclinical validation pipelines and to use these bioassays to screen for novel chemical and genetic cancer targets.

This publishable summary provides an overview of the project objectives and major achievements. It firstly refers to ZF-CANCER context and targets and then focuses on its main results and foregrounds. A thorough analysis of the achievements of the different work packages (WPs) is also provided.
