Final Report - RURALJOBS (New sources of employment to promote the wealth-generating capacity of rural communities)

Project ID: 211605
Funded under: FP7-KBBE

The main aim of the RURALJOBS project, which received funding under the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), was to quantify the employment needs and potentials in different types of pilot areas within contrasting reference areas in seven European Union countries, evaluating the effectiveness of past and current policies in addressing these needs and potentials, and by systematic analysis of the results, providing guidelines on the better targeting of future rural development measures. The main objective was to provide a clearer understanding of the factors influencing the employment potentials of different types of rural areas to support the future evolution of rural development policies.

The first document is the executive summary of the project. Initially, it documents briefly the aim and the main objectives of the project, as well as the consortium and goes on with introducing the wider context of the project and the objectives that the project set out to address. Then it covers the work performed and main outcomes of the seven work packages and closes with the potential impact and the dissemination activities. The second document is an annex of the final report which includes figures and tables.
