This is the final publishable summary report for the PROVISCOUT PROJECT which received funding under the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). PROVISCOUT aimed to demonstrate the feasibility of vision-based autonomous sample identification and selection as well as terrain hazard analysis for a long range rover scouting / exploration mission on a terrestrial planet along with the robotic elements required. The report includes an executive summary in which an overview of the main objectives, achievements and dissemination activities are stated. It goes on with the project context and objectives and then the main science and technology results are presented in detail. The report closes with the potential impact, main dissemination activities and exploitation of results section.
