This is the final report for the ENERGYPOLAR project which received funding under the European Commission (EC)'s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). ENERGYPOLAR aimed to unravel genetic mechanisms controlling growth yield and cell wall structure and composition, in order to design new Short rotation crop (SRC) poplar tree cultivars with enhanced agronomical traits for industrial production of bioethanol. The report includes an executive summary highlighting the project main achievements. It goes on with a summary description of the project context and objectives and then presents the work carried out within the Work package (WP)s. Finally, it presents the impact of the results of each WP.

Attached is also a document with figures and tables for the 'Description of the main S&T results / foregrounds' part of the project's final report.
