Final Report - TRYPOBASE (Nucleobase derivatives as drugs against trypanosomal diseases)

Project ID: 223238
Funded under: FP7-HEALTH

Abstract

Leishmaniasis, African trypanosomiasis and Chagas disease are neglected diseases responsible for substantial global morbidity, mortality and economic adversity. In most countries where they are endemic, existing strategies for control and treatment are either failing or under serious threat.

In this context, the European Union (EU) funded TRYPOBASE project aimed to identify compounds that have potent antiparasitic activity and drug-like properties, in order to provide leads for optimisation studies, hopefully amenable to clinical development after further work, to give compounds suitable for use in developing countries.

This document is an attachment to the project's final report and includes a series of figures associated with the findings of work package five (WP5), which focused on X-ray crystallography.
