Food industry leftovers constitute an enormous cost and an unnecessary waste of food-grade material. In this context, the EU-funded PROSPARE project aimed to apply a new technology able to recover poultry proteic leftovers and feather and to transform them, respectively, in Functional Animal Protein (FAP), intended for food and in Functional Feather Protein (FFP), intended for feed and to convert discharged fat into biodiesel.

This final activity report provides a brief overview of the project context and objectives. It also analyses the activities that were undertaken and refers to the obtained results. Finally, the document closes with a presentation of the potential impact of the findings.
