Final Report - SEAKERS (Sea kinetic energy recovery system)

Project ID: 262591
Funded under: FP7-SME

The SEAKERS project was funded under the European Commission's (EC) Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and aimed to develop an innovative device, both in its concept and functions, consisting in a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) for sailing boats that would exploit undesired boat body movements caused by the sea in order to produce free electricity.

This final activity report firstly provides a brief overview of the project context and objectives and then focuses on the activities that were undertaken and the results that were achieved. Several explanatory diagrams and pictures facilitate this analysis. The document also refers to the potential impact of the SEAKERS findings, as well as to the implemented dissemination and knowledge exploitation strategy.
