This is the final report for the COPING project which received funding under the European Commission (EC)'s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). COPING aimed to investigate the mental health needs and resilience of children of prisoners and the most promising policy and intervention responses in four countries: the United Kingdom (England and Wales), Germany, Romania and Sweden, gathering evidence from over 1500 children. It used a child-centred methodology as well as a positive phycology approach. The report explains the project context, the methodology adopted, the objectives and also refers to the analysis of the obtained data. It also discusses the quantitative results and the qualitative findings. Finally, the potential impact of the findings is summarised in relation to the main themes that emerged from the study.
