Final Report - ANTIVIRAL (Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of HIV-1 and HCV inhibitors)

Project ID: 204263
Funded under: FP7-PEOPLE

Abstract

This document is an attachment to the periodic Report of the 'ANTIVIRAL' project, which was funded under the European Community's (EC) Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

The project initially aimed to design, synthesise and biologically evaluate human immunodeficiency virus type one (HIV-1) and hepatitis-C virus (HCV) inhibitors. These objectives were later expanded to include the design of new compounds for the treatment of cancer, whose structure would be inspired by natural products.

The document includes a figure that illustrates the lowest energy docked conformation of a new argyrin-based analogue at the ß1 active site of the 'humanised' 20S proteasome, which was developed as part of ANTIVIRAL.
