Abstract

This is the final report of the METABOLICSYNDROME funded under the European Union (EU)-funded framework programme (FP) seven. The main purpose of METABOLICSYNDROME is to decipher the cross-talk between the chylomicron and HDL metabolic pathways with adipose and hepatic tissues in the development of diet-induced obesity, type II diabetes and NAFLD.

The report coherently describes in detail the background and the main objectives of the project; the work performed within it; and the results achieved so far. Furthermore, the report describes the dissemination of the results and their potential socio-economical impact and use.
